Leave and Public Holidays

Your roster will show all public holidays as available unless you mark them as unavailable. Some contractors choose to work during public holidays, so it’s up to you to decide if you want to provide pickups on those days.

Public holidays vary by state, so ensure you review your schedule and update your roster well in advance if you do not plan to work. This will prevent customers from booking services on days you are unavailable.

Tips for Managing Public Holidays:

  • For Non-Working Days: Block your roster early to avoid last-minute bookings.
  • For Regular Bookings: Contact customers with recurring bookings that fall on a public holiday to confirm whether you’ll be working and if they still need a pickup. Keep in mind that businesses may be closed, and families might adjust their schedules for the holiday.
  • If You’re Working: Proactively touch base with your regular customers, as they may be away, closed, or forget to let you know their plans.
