Your Starter Kit

Your Starter Kit will shortly be on its way to you. This includes many of the supplies you need to get started in your business.

  • Brochures - that you can use for on the ground marketing like mailbox drops, visiting local businesses like beauty stores and other handouts (see our marketing section for ideas on where to hand out)
  • Car Magnets - place one on the left and right side of the car for maximum exposure, always have these on display to ensure that customer knows who you are
  • Car Stickers - to be placed in the bottom left corner of the back window of your car
  • Wire Hangers - enough to get you started, always ask customers to return these or use theirs if they have them, you can also recycle hangers from places like retail shops
  • Lightweight Bags - with drawstring, these eco style material bags are suitable for customers with clothes (smaller loads), small ironing jobs, hangers, one-off jobs (eg tourists) as they are cheaper to replace. The smaller opening and holding space will keep clothes together well, and the square bottom sits well when filling
  • Heavy duty Bags - with ripstop polyester, these bags are designed to hold 10+kgs of laundry and are fully machine washable. Large opening and wide bag suitable for large items like towels, linen, etc. Great for larger items but for smaller items like clothes, will need to be placed inside a garbage bag to hold items in place when folded. Square bottom sits well when full. Suitable for business customers or regulars, particularly those with lots of towels, airbnbs, beauty salons etc
  • Garment Bags - Large 60 x 127 cm size with 10cm gusset, designed to hang ironing. Customers should recycle bags on each use.
  • Handheld scale - designed to weigh washing to determine 5kg load weighting
  • Name Badge - this will come to you in the mail separately and should be worn at all times when picking up and delivering laundry services
  • Bag tags - to label customer bags - great for organising loads/jobs
  • Fridge magnets - these are great to give to new customers on their first booking so they remember to book with you again!
  • Mesh Bags (small and large) - small are great for washing delicates. Large are useful if you have multiple customers wanting their washing grouped together (eg sporting teams).
  • Laundry Lady Laundry Liquid - use for standard wash, dry and fold services, 5Litre, 125 washes
  • Laundry Lady Eco Natural Laundry Liquid - natural alternative laundry liquid (additional charge per load), 5 Litre, 140 washes
