- Handwashing - to be used if a customer requests items for handwashing, or if the care label states handwash only. Item is available in the Booking App checkout to be added as a separate cost.
- Line Drying - to be used if customer requests line drying, or if the care label states do not tumble dry. Return delivery time may be longer if needed to ensure complete drying (always let the customer know this as soon as possible). DO NOT return items still wet/damp.
- Special detergent - if requested by customer, use as per their instructions, customer should provide this detergent to you on first pickup.
- Stain Removal - we only provide a regular stain removal service. This is no extra cost to the customer. Heavy stains may need special treatment which you should advise the customer of (this might include sending it to a drycleaner).
- Pre-soak / Extra cycle - some customers may require additional pre-soak or extra cycle for heavily soiled clothing/linen - this is charged as an extra item per 5kg load and must be requested/agreed to by the customer prior to washing.
- Hot wash - medical centres, beauty salons and other customers in these type of settings may require hot washes to ensure items are fully cleaned or disinfected. Some clients may also request hot washes for extra disinfection. Always check the care label to determine suitable temperature eg 40 or 60 degrees.
- Blankets/Doonas - blankets/doonas over 5kg should be charged as one load. If a blanket/doona is too big for your washing machine you should take it to the laundromat to wash. Always check that it is suitable for machine washing (some doonas are dryclean only). Doonas will not completely dry in the dryer and will require additional line drying time in most cases. Even if a doona feels dry on the outside, it needs additional drying time for the inside of the doona contents. We recommend you delay delivery to 48hours to ensure appropriate drying time (let the customer know this ahead of time).
- Beauty Salon Towels - if towels have makeup or oil stains they will likely need additional treatment to ensure they are washed correctly. This could include hot washing the towels, using bleach or other pre-soakers/whiteners. Talk to the salon to find out their preference for washing options. Always check the care label to see if suitable for bleaches or hot washes (only commercial grade towels will be suitable for bleach). Also check the label to see maximum temperature for hot wash (eg 40 or 60 degrees).
- Same Day Delivery - we do not advertise same day delivery however some customers may request this in their booking notes or on first contact. Tourists staying in hotels/accommodation are the group most likely to request this. If you are able to provide this to the customer you may do so and charge a "Same Day Delivery" fee (Booking App). However we recommend you only do this for one-off style customers (like tourists) - if you do this for regular customers they will expect this every time which will be difficult to manage in your schedule particularly when you are busy!
- Longer turnaround delivery time - customers like airbnbs, beauty salons may require longer turnaround times to suit their business. For an Airbnb this might include pickup on their guest departure, to be returned week later on the next guest departure. For a beauty salon this might include pickup on a Monday to be returned on a Thursday and a new pickup made at the same time. Always talk to your customer to see what works for their schedule and if you can't make it work in your schedule let Head Office know.
- Large volumes - at times you might pickup a customer who has a really large volume of washing or ironing and you know you can't get through it within 24 hours. Always contact the customer and confirm if a longer turnaround time is suitable.
- Bed stripping / remaking - at times we get requests for a bed stripping and remaking service, particularly from holiday rental / Airbnb clients. If we receive this request we will contact the local contractor to determine if you are able to fit this into your schedule. Customers should be charged per bed.
- Lint or pet hair - items will often come to you with lint or pet hair. If they are already washed by the customer and just coming for ironing, use a lint brush to remove as much of the lint or pet hair as possible. If they have not yet been washed, washing and tumble dryer will remove most of the hair.
- Pet bedding - we sometimes get requests for washing pet bedding and we tell customers this is something we can do. We recommend after washing pet bedding to wash your machine on a regular short cycle to remove any hair. You can also take it to a laundromat to wash there. The dryer or line drying will normally remove some (not all) of the pet hair.
- Bed Bugs - we sometimes get requests for washing linen items with bed bugs. The correct treatment is to hot wash the item and then put the item through the dryer to kill the bugs. Ensure the items go directly into the washing machine and don't leave them on your surfaces or near other customers washing so not to cross contaminate. You can also take it to a laundromat to wash there.
