Wash, Dry and Fold Services

  • Washing is separated into darks and whites.
  • Washing is always cold washed, unless requested otherwise by the customer.
  • Detergent must be the approved Laundry Lady liquids (unless the customer requests something different).
  • Towels, blankets, clothes can be washed together unless likely to cause pilling.
  • Care labels should be checked on all items to ensure items are suitable for machine washing and tumble drying.
  • Tumble dryer should be used (unless item is not suitable or customer has requested otherwise) to ensure that linen/clothes are smooth and soft.
  • Dryers also help kill viruses, bacteria and other germs.
  • All items should be folded whilst still warm straight from the dryer to ensure they are smooth and presentable for the customer - if you leave them in the dryer unfolded for a few hours they will start to crinkle creating an unprofessional result. TIP: Use the timer settings on your dryer to delay start if you are not going to be home when the cycle finishes.
  • If the care label says the linen/clothing is not suitable for machine drying then you will need to line dry the item. In some cases (eg blankets) line drying will mean additional turnaround time for the return delivery and you will need to let the customer know this ahead of time. Always ensure an item is completely dry before returning to the customer.
  • Washing is always charged by a 5kg load (weighed when dry) even if your machine will fit less/more per load.
